EnKore Designs

EnKore Designs offers a vast array of "one-of-a-kind, affordable gifts for everyone. In addition to discovering something totally unique you can customize it further to fit your needs by changing styles and colors, or even adding your own images and text.

We only use the highest quality materials, nearly all of the production is done locally in the U.S., and the majority of all products are produced and shipped within 24 hours. Pretty cool, eh?

Rico:
How did you find Zazzle?

EnKore Designs :
I actually found Zazzle by accident. I received an email this past December offering a free custom calendar. I thought that would be a great gift for my parents so I went to the site to claim it. The site really wasn't that user friendly so I did a search for custom calenders and Zazzle popped up.

Rico:
How long have you been at Zazzle?

EnKore Designs :
I started November 28, 2012 and I've designed for my store literally every day since.

Rico:
Are you a ProSeller?
If yes, how long from the time you open a shop until you made it to ProSeller?

EnKore Designs :
I'm not yet a ProSeller but it is without a doubt a goal that I strive for everyday. I'm tirelessly designing, while searching for new "out of the box" ways to market.

Zazzle is, in my opinion, the greatest place to find gifts and home decor. I just love the endless customization and personalization possibilities. Every product offered can be that "perfect, one of a kind" item. One of the greatest challenges I have is conveying all the options that the customer has to customize any given product they're interested in purchasing.

Rico:
What made you decide to open your own store?

EnKore Designs :
Well, I’ve been an Interior Designer for fifteen years. Design is my passion. There is nothing I love more than being able to create beautiful surroundings for others as well as my family. The integration of varying designs, colors and textures is my favorite aspect of any design job. When I learned that Zazzle offered individuals the opportunity to have a store front and basically had a limitless scope of design ability I couldn’t wait to get started.

Now, if only my skill of the various computer programs I use would catch up with my ideas.

Rico:
What makes your shop stand out from the rest?

EnKore Designs :
I try to achieve a nice variety of styles for so many different occasions. I design as if I were creating it for myself or someone I know.

Rico:
How would you describe your design style?

EnKore Designs :
I love so many different styles and I’m always pushing to expand out of my comfort zone. I’d have to say traditional style would best describe how I design……for now..

Rico:
What type of product do you prefer to design?

EnKore Designs :
That’s an interesting question. Presently, I’m having lots of fun designing pillows. It changes for me, sometimes daily, as to what products I focus on and like to design. Right now I’m working on some new wall art groupings, so when I get those perfected……

Rico:
What's the best advise you got when you were starting out?

EnKore Designs :
Never give up, design, design and then design some more. Take your one design and apply it to all your products. I know that sounds simple but it really never occurred to me. I went in with the idea of, “this design here and that one over there’. I was limiting the possibilities for my customers in doing so. So now when I create a design I try to offer it on as many items as possible.

Rico:
What was your first Sale (include link)?

EnKore Designs :

My first sale was, Vintage Celadon and Aqua Damask iPad Case. The Vintage Celadon and Aqua Damask has by far been my best selling pattern on various items..

Rico:
What medium/tools do you use to create your designs?

EnKore Designs :
Funny you should ask that question. If anyone were to watch me design, they would think I’m a madwoman. I have four different design software programs, of which I have not master any, that I switch between for any one given design. I have been working on learning one program that does it all but I find taking the time to learn it frustrating. Therefore I revert back to my ten different tabs at the top of my computer screen and four software programs open at one time. It truly is a sight to see, in a comical way.
